Powers: I can use exponent laws and order of operations to solve exponent problems, I can solve exponent problems involving area, volume, and surface area. (Math 9F, Ch3)
  • Learn:
  • Practice:
    • Chapter Review p. 120, 121
      • All of 3.4 - I suggest these first because it relates today's lesson
      • #1-5, 2 from each section (3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4)
  • Apply (time to start planning for your Math Project):
    • Brainstorm ideas here
    • The Math Links for this chapter would make a great project idea - they involve the construction of a mobile made of 3D shapes. You'd really have to apply your Math knowledge to create precision shapes that would balance. This could make a really cool piece of geometric art!
    • This Chapter would lend itself nicely to some experimentation with Math games. See if you can find some to practice and apply your knowledge of powers
    • See if you can come up with a project idea based on powers and exponents.

Integers: I can add, subtract, multiply, and divide integers. I can apply my understanding to substitution problems and exponent problems. (Math 9B, Ch5)
  • Learn:
  • Practice:
    • Assignment :
      • p.180 - Choose 4 Odds
      • p. 182 – 5.2 a,b, 5.3 a,b, 5.6 a,b, 5.7 a,b, 5.8 a,b, 5.10 a,c
